Mental health board referendums in Naperville, Lisle townships and Will County appear to have passed
Naperville Sun - 11/9/2022
Nov. 10—Voters in Will County and Naperville and Lisle townships in DuPage County appear to have approved referendums that would set up community mental health boards and allocate property tax levies to fund services for mental health, developmental disabilities and addiction.
An unofficial vote count — results won't be certified until later this month when qualified and mail-in votes are added to the tally — indicates that all three have passed at this juncture.
In the townships, the referendums call for a new annual tax, which would be a part of the township levy, not exceed 0.15%. For residents of Will County, the annual tax rate would not exceed .05%.
The following are the unofficial results with 100% of the precincts tallied:
—Naperville Township: 59.6% yes, 40.4% no;
—Lisle Township: 59.23% yes, 40.77% no;
—Will County: 52.52% yes, 47.48% no.
